The name Leveisha originated from my Mother. She established Leveisha Kennels after finding a passion in the dog industry through competition obedience, training & dog behaviour. Without her passion and dedication, I would never have found mine. We have expanded Leveisha with the view of sharing our passion for dogs with others, whether it be through caring for their dogs or providing a new furry addition to their families. My Mother, Jo, is still very much involved with the business but prefers to stay behind the scenes.

About Us

Hi! We are Hope & Shea and we are the faces behind Leveisha. We are a young, married, couple who are passionate about dogs and sharing that passion with others. Our love for dogs originated from our Mothers. Shea grew up with Staffys and I grew up with mostly Border Collies. Both our mums dabbled in breeding, mine more seriously than his, but we both found comfort in our furry companions. Leveisha started off as my mums Dogs NZ kennel name and through her we are able to carry on her legacy by expanding the Leveisha name. Our dogs are everything to us, they are a huge part of our family and we could not imagine life without them. We are excited to share this with others and their fur-babies and be a able to create a place where people feel safe leaving their dogs in our care. We have created an amazing team of like-minded people who are as passionate as we are about their own dogs. We hope you love Leveish as much as we do and we thank you for taking the time to consider us!

Our Breeding

Our breeding program is led by Jo, my Mum. She has spent thousands of dollars importing semen from top quality dogs all over the world from Australia, America and the UK. She works tirelessly trying to perfect the Border Collie & German Spitz (Mittel) breeds and continues to build our connections around the world. 

Our Experience

Although Shea doesn’t have much experience in the dog industry, other than his family pets, he is caring, confident and compassionate with any dog he comes across. I, however, was thrown into the dog world from the moment I was born. My mum continues to be the most successful dog behaviourist in the Wellington region and I am grateful to be part of that now. I have worked in a daycare with 100+ dogs of all breeds, temperaments & sizes, ensuring they all get along. I continue to run dog behaviour classes through Canine Solutions and have been a professional groomer for the past 6 years. We are grateful to Canine Solutions for taking us under their wing and guiding us along this journey. Although we are young, I am proud of the amount of dogs I have been able to help throughout the years and am excited to see where Leveisha takes us.
